Mother's Day at Skowhegan-Madison Elks Lodge

  SKOWHEGAN – The Skowhegan-Madison Elks Lodge will host its annual Mother’s Day ceremony and Mother of the Year award today, May 13 at 1 p.m. The observance is open to the public and light refreshments will be served afterwards.

  The fraternal organization has selected a Mother of the Year from the community every year since it was chartered in 1975. Last year’s honoree was Barbara Provost of Skowhegan, a veteran teacher in School Administrative District 54 and the lodge’s Drug Awareness Prevention Program chairperson.

  The Skowhegan-Madison Elks Lodge is at 21 Silver St. in Skowhegan.
