Regional Job Fair returns to Pittsfield May 9

  PITTSFIELD – For people seeking jobs or employers looking to hire, the Pittsfield Regional Job Fair is the ideal place to be today (May 9.) The event takes place at Warsaw Middle School from 3:30 – 6:30 p.m. and admission is free.
   Job hunters who are either out of work or want to change careers will have an opportunity to meet representatives of companies and agencies in an informal setting. Plus, there are free workshops throughout the exhibit:

  • 3:30 – 4:25 p.m. Business Start Up Resources: Are you thinking about starting a business? Join us to discuss your ideas, discover what steps to take, and learn about small business resources available in our area.
  • 4:30 – 5:25 p.m. Women Unlimited: Women Unlimited improves the financial independence of Maine women, minorities, and disadvantaged workers by providing training and access to jobs with livable wages for careers in trades, construction, technical, and transportation industries.  Up to date information is available on careers in construction and related fields and assist employers looking for twenty-first century workforce.  Come find out everything you wanted to know but were afraid to ask.
  • 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. Maximizing Social Media in Your Job Search: Learn how to best use LinkedIn to network with people, companies, and how to market yourself. Discussion will also include the best job search websites to use and how to create job search agents in them.
