KVCAP's ‘Guiding Good Choices’ to be offered at Benton Elementary

   BENTON – A free 5-week series of parenting classes called Guiding Good Choices is open to the community and will be held at Benton Elementary beginning Thursday, Oct. 11 through Nov. 8 from 5 – 7:30 p.m.  This is an amazing evidence-based class for the parents/guardians of children ages 9-14 year-olds.  Topics will include: building family relationship and bonds, establishing and reinforcing clear and consistent guidelines and expectations for behavior, and teaching children skills to resist peer influence.

  There will be free childcare on-site and free dinner for participating families. Transportation stipends are available on an as needed basis. For participants who complete each of the five classes, there will be a drawing for a free Kindle.
