Library Skills classes and Book Discussion Group dates announced

PITTSFIELD – On Monday, Oct. 1, from 12 – 1 p.m., elementary aged students will receive a library orientation at the Pittsfield Public Library.  These classes meet Maine Department of Education requirements for library skills for homeschooled students.
The next meeting of the Pittsfield Public Library's Book Discussion Group will be Thursday, Oct. 11, from 4 – 5:30 p.m. in the Warren Community Room. Books to be discussed are “Train Dreams” by Denis Johnson and “Wrinkle in Time” by Madeline L’Engle. To join, call the Library at 487-5880 to have a book ordered for you.
Play Group meets Wednesdays in the children's area from 10:30 to 12:00. This is an opportunity for young children and their caregivers to socialize in an informal, fun setting. Playgroup is supervised by caregivers, not library staff.
For more information, contact the Library at 487-5880.
